Eligibility
To participate in Ascend competitions, players must:
- Meet any region or residency requirements defined for the tournament
- Comply with game-specific rules and account requirements
- Participate using their own account unless otherwise permitted
Additional eligibility requirements may apply depending on the competition.
Team Requirements
Teams must:
- Register with a defined roster before the tournament begins
- Have a designated team representative or captain
- Ensure all players meet participation requirements
Teams are responsible for internal coordination and communication.
Roster & Submissions
- Rosters must be submitted before the tournament starts
- Only registered players may participate in matches
- Roster changes may be restricted or require admin approvals
- Each player may only be part of one team per tournament
Roster integrity is required to maintain fair competition.
Player Identity & Accounts
- Players must compete on their own accounts
- Account sharing is not allowed
- Players may be required to verify identity or account ownership if requested
Any attempt to misrepresent identity or account usage may result in penalties.
Smurfing & Competitive Integrity
- Smurfing or deliberately playing on lower-ranked accounts to gain an advantage is not allowed
- Any form of unfair competitive advantage is prohibited
All participants are expected to compete honestly and at their true level.
Forms of Participation
Participation in Ascend may take different forms depending on role:
Players & Teams
- Compete in tournaments
- Participation is voluntary

Community Participation

Staff & Consultants

Agreement & Clarity
Participation should always be:
- Clearly defined
- Communicated in advance
- Understood by all parties
No assumptions should be made regarding compensation, responsibilities, or expectations beyond what is explicitly stated.
Financial Expectations
Participation in Ascend does not create any right to:
- Salary or guaranteed compensation
- Financial benefits outside of prize distributions
- Ownership, profit sharing, or future payouts
Any compensation is only provided through:
- Tournament prize pools
- Separate agreements (if applicable)
No Employment Relationship
Participation in Ascend does not constitute:
- Employment
- Assignment
- Or any formal work relationship
unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.
Responsibility
All participants are expected to:
- Follow all Ascend policies
- Act in a respectful and constructive manner
- Understand the nature of their participation
Participation implies acceptance of all applicable policies.
Competition & Team Representation
All participants are expected to:
- A player may represent only one team per tournament
- Team selection must be clear before participation
- Rosters apply only to the specific competition
Participation in Ascend does not restrict involvement in other organizations or communities outside of a specific tournament.
